The motif of this fabulous large oval platter is a pond scene with water fowl, fish, ferns, iris, arrowhead, trumpet vines and large pagoda in the center. The wide border is decorated with hummingbirds, bamboo and trumpet flowers. The pattern incorporates both Chinese and Japanese influences of the period. The piece measures 9 1/2" in width.
