    i wish i had more information about this cup. i cannot find a brand or maker's mark. however, it is hand-signed in gold on the base «e fountain». there is a very generous amount of gold leaf here, with a band aroudn the rim that is intentionally rough-edged. the handle is beautifully finished in a satin gold. if you know anything about the artist, please do share. my best guess is that it is a limoges artist, but i have absolutely nothing to back that up except the style of the script of the signature being french style. i really love the handle on this cup. depicts a mated pair of mallard ducks. i think it might be hand painted (that is partly based on the fact that it is signed.)
