For safety, it is always best to secure stair treads in place regardless of their backing material including rubber, silicone, latex and etc. The backing of our stair treads was designed to provide best results with rug anchoring solutions without damaging the rug or the floor. We recommend applying 2 thin coats of fiber-lok non-skid rug backing or applying double-sided carpet tape for slip-free installation.
