Ridgway Oriental Brown/Black Dinner Plates Set of 4 Antique
This listing is for a set of four Ridgway Oriental dinner plates. The color is a brownish black and may have originally been referred to as black. The backstamp includes an urn and beehive, the pattern name, and just “WR” (William Ridgway). From what I have found online, this backstamp was used by the company in the early 1830s.
Each plate is 10-1/2” diameter.
Condition: All the plates have crazing and a small bit of glaze (about 1/8” diameter) that is missing from the front. One has gray discoloration in the crazing lines. One has a chip under the rim, and one has what might be an impact crack on the back, although it might just be crazing.

. If you are buying one item from me, know that I will be charging you within pennies of what it will cost me to ship the item. I am in the Pacific Northwest, so please keep this in mind if shipping seems high.
Shipping Method:
I ship by USPS or FedEx Home/Ground, depending on the weight, destination and value of the box. I always refund excess shipping via PayPal. If you select USPS Parcel Select, I may change it to FedEx Home, because that method can often be faster and includes insurance. You will not need to sign for the box, unless you contact me ahead of time to request that service. I am pleased to ship to APO addresses.

“Ship To” Address:
To avoid shipping delays and possible added expense, make sure your address is up to date with PayPal. Also, I am happy to ship to a third party, but if you would like me to ship to an address other than your own, please be sure to add that address to your PayPal account as an alternate address BEFORE shopping.

International Buyers
: All fees incurred in your country are your responsibility. I will not mark an item as a gift on the Customs form.
I ship my items in corrugated cardboard boxes, with packing peanuts and bubble wrap.
Payment must be received within 4 days.
Returns:
If you are not pleased with your purchase,
you may return it within 30 days in “as sold” condition. Please retain all packing material and/or replace damaged bubble wrap with new if necessary to ensure an undamaged returned item. Please contact me first before starting the return process so I can have the chance to resolve the issue before you ship and to send you a prepaid shipping label if necessary.
