    You are bidding on this super rare one of its kind old west 1886 criminal justices docket of Hardeman County, Texas Volume  1.
    This is your chance to own an authentic real piece of the old west. Documenting criminal cases that came before the justices of peace between the years of Nov. 30, 1886 to Sept. 5, 1890. Over 450 criminal cases.
    Probably written in Margaret, Texas when it was the county seat many of the cases take place on the streets of Quanna. All kinds of cases listed within. Larceny,  vagrancy,  disturbing the peace,  assault and battery, concealed weapon, gambling, horse theft, cattle rustling,  dozens of cases of prostitution, exposure, even cases of murder. Noting fines, court costs, etc.
    The following is just a few of the last names listed within- - Pannell, Davidson, Holly, Reed, Mason, Parker, James, Morgan, Kennedy, Cunningham, Widder, Shupe, Matthews, Aulford, Commanche Bill, Smoky Jim. Some found themselves brought in a number of times. Some just once.
    Hardcover, bound in leather, all pages are tight and still intact after 130 years. The leather shows wear and is seperated in some places. All cases are handwritten. It measures over 11 inches long, 2 inches thick and 16 inches high. It weighs over 10 pounds.
    A real historians treasure. It may be the only existing record of the court cases of Hardeman County, Texas. A first hand glimpse of what the old west was really like.
